    Ms. Tanya Nautiyal joined the Department of Economics, School of Liberal Arts & Management as an Assistant Professor in July, 2024. She is a distinguished professional with a robust academic background and extensive experience in both academia and government service. Holding a Ph.D in Economics, she has demonstrated a profound understanding of economic theories and policies, coupled with practical applications in various governmental roles. Tanya has submitted her Ph.D. in the Department of Economics, Jamia Millia Islamia. Tanya’s interests focus upon financial inclusion, microfinance, development economics, macroeconomics, gender inequality and public finance. She has worked in Tax Policy Research Unit, Ministry of Finance as a Research Fellow. She possess strong analytical and research skills, enabling her to provide valuable insights into tax policy, development policy, financial development policy etc. Beyond her governmental roles, Tanya Nautiyal has also enriched the academic sphere through her association with the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration. Here, she has imparted her knowledge and expertise to aspiring civil servants, shaping future leaders with a comprehensive understanding of economic principles and their applications in public policy. Tanya’s academic achievements are underscored by her seven research publications, each contributing valuable insights to the field of economics. These publications reflect her commitment to advancing economic discourse, tackling issues ranging from fiscal policies to international trade dynamics.
