    Since inception with a consistent run for past twenty one golden years, today we have reached to a destination of success, which is encouraging us only to achieve more and much bigger.

At DIT University, Dehradun, the Career Development Cell (CDC) and Career Services Department (CSD) are integral parts of our strategic initiative to ensure our students' holistic growth and success. These departments are driven by young, energetic, and goal-oriented professionals dedicated to helping students achieve their career aspirations.

Objective of Career Development Cell (CDC): The CDC aims to guide students in choosing the best career paths based on their interests, skills, and qualifications. It assists students in identifying and developing their academic and career interests and setting their short-term and long-term goals through individual counselling and group sessions. The CDC is committed to fostering a career-centered campus culture that prepares all scholars to pursue their unique professional and academic aspirations.

Objectives of Career Services Department (CSD): The CSD serves as a vital interface between industry and academia, streamlining placement and related processes for students. A robust industry-academia interface is key to the success of the CSD, which is dedicated to establishing milestones year after year and creating a sustainable model for our graduates in their professional lives.

To make students “Industry Ready” and expand their “Repertoire of Skills”, the CSD has secured numerous ‘Innovation Centres’ for the university in collaboration with industry giants like IBM, Oracle, Smart Joules, and Secure Meters. We also organize various programs in areas such as “Faculty Development Programs,’ ‘ Online Education and Certifications’, ‘Specialized Training’, ‘Guest Lectures’, ad ‘Workshops’ with major players like Ericsson, Snapdeal, Cognizant, Exicom Tele-Systems Limited, L&T, and Infosys (under the Campus Connect Programs). Students also undergo internships in their pre-final year/ final semesters and industrial visits to reputed organizations.

Throughout the year, seasoned and accomplished professionals from diverse fields visit the campus to interact with students and share their industry experiences. Regular industry expert guest lectures, seminars, and workshops are organized for more interactive, nuanced, and informative learning.

Campus Visit- Facilitation

Pre-visit Initiatives:
The University welcomes and facilitates early Pre-Placement Talks, Presentations, etc. All Job Notifications along with any other related materials provided by the recruiters are informed through e-mail or displayed on the students’ notice boards.

Students apply against the Recruitment Notifications and their details are provided to the recruiters on an excel sheet. Soft copies of resumes are also forwarded, if so required, through e-mail.

During the Campus Visit:
The University auditorium is well equipped with the audio-visual facilities for presentations. Adequate space is provided for the written tests that are a part of the selection process. Large halls with every convenience are kept ready solely for this purpose. For online tests, computer labs, fully networked and connected to a 30 Mbps network are provided. More than 300 students can take the online test at a time.

For stay on campus, arrangements are made, on request, at the Institute’s guesthouse that is equipped to provide for every requirement of Institute’s guests. The Institute also arranges for Airport / Railway Station pick-up / drop, if required.

Placement Norms

Placement facility is available to all students registered with the Career Development Centre through its registration procedure. Once the placement process is initiated the students may attend the presentations made by different organizations and accordingly make their decision to attend the respective selection process.

There is no restriction on attending multiple selection processes provided that the timings do not coincide. The student may attend processes for any number of organizations until the first offer is secured. Confirmation of the offer may be by way of the selection list being displayed by the organization or through offer letters issued. Once 85% of the students of a particular branch are placed, a second opportunity may be provided.


DIT University has entered into several value added associations with several organizations which have resulted in creation of specialized laboratories, introduction of Industry suggested electives, internships as well as scholarships and support towards technical clubs. Some of such associations are with IBM, Oracle, Smart Joules, Secure Meters Limited.
