The field of Medical Laboratory Technology focuses on the accurate analysis of biological specimens, critical documentation of results, and assisting in the diagnosis and monitoring of diseases through advanced laboratory techniques.

The B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) program at DIT University provides students with in-depth training in a variety of laboratory procedures that are essential in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Our curriculum covers a wide spectrum of laboratory tests and diagnostic techniques, including microscopic examinations, immunoassays, genetic testing, and biochemical analysis of bodily fluids, tissues, and cells. These tests play a pivotal role in assessing a patient's health status, helping physicians diagnose and treat conditions, monitor the effectiveness of therapies, and contribute to ongoing disease prevention efforts.

The program includes comprehensive instruction and hands-on training across various domains of laboratory science. Students will gain expertise in Phlebotomy, Microbiology (including Bacteriology, Virology, Immunology, Serology, Parasitology, and Mycology), Hematology, Histopathology, Cytopathology, and Clinical Biochemistry. Additionally, students will receive training in Blood Banking, preparing them to handle and process blood samples for transfusions, a critical component in healthcare.
