The Nursing programme is a formal educational preparation which is based on sound educational principles as the foundation on which the practice of nursing is built.

Nursing is the newest profession and the oldest art. It is a compassionate field that is essential to the delivery of healthcare. The values of the nursing profession are based on promoting health, preventing illness, and providing care to individuals, families, and communities during illness in order to achieve, preserve, and regain the best possible health and quality of life from conception to death. The effectiveness of nursing care delivered by the nursing staff has a significant impact on patient outcomes and the hospital's reputation.

DIT College of Nursing, Dehradun was established in 2023with an intake of 60 B.Sc. Nursing students. Modern amenities at this institute include lecture halls equipped with the latest educational technology, seminar halls, hostels, nursing skills labs with high-to-medium fidelity simulators, and a full-fledged library with e-library access. A team of highly qualified and experienced nursing faculty members who meet worldwide standards for excellence train and educate student nurses. Being a preeminent nursing school, we strive to equip students with a combination of clinical knowledge, academic brilliance, and moral principles to tackle the world's healthcare issues.

The B.Sc. nursing degree program is a four-year full-time program comprising eight semesters. Facilities are provided to students for clinical experiences under the guidance of experienced faculty in various clinical and community settings. Upon the completion of the B.Sc. nursing program, there are many career opportunities globally available for graduates, and to name a few:

It adopts credit system and semester system as per INC guidelines. The program encompasses foundational, core and elective courses. The choice-based system is applicable to electives only and is offered in the form of modules. Modular learning is also integrated in the foundational as well as core courses that is mandatory.

Practice of nursing is based upon application of basic concepts and principles derived from the physical, biological and behavioural sciences, medicine and nursing. We the faculty at DIT College of Nursing believe that modern nursing is a dynamic, therapeutic and educative process in meeting the health needs of the individuals, family and the community. Our education should be self-directed learning and foster an attitude of lifelong learning and bring all round development of the individual.

We strongly believe that the nursing students are responsible and accountable for qualify nursing practice thus they need to be appropriately trained, oriented and directly supervised. The highly qualified and motivated professionals provide the skill and knowledge needed to the students to meet the challenges of today. We are providing outstanding facilities and help the students to achieve great success. The curriculum planned in way that all the potentials and inherent talents of the students are developed to make them full-fledged individuals of the society. The nursing programmes focus on equipping and channelizing the knowledge, attitude, skills and potentials of the students effectively and efficiently to provide quality health care.
