DIT College of Nursing, Dehradun was established in 2023with an intake of 60 B.Sc. Nursing students. Modern amenities at this institute include lecture halls equipped with the latest educational technology, seminar halls, hostels, nursing skills labs with high-to-medium fidelity simulators, and a full-fledged library with e-library access. A team of highly qualified and experienced nursing faculty members who meet worldwide standards for excellence train and educate student nurses. The B.Sc. nursing degree program is a four-year full-time program comprising eight semesters. Facilities are provided to students for clinical experiences under the guidance of experienced faculty in various clinical and community settings. It adopts credit system and semester system as per INC guidelines. The program encompasses foundational, core and elective courses. The choice-based system is applicable to electives only and is offered in the form of modules. Modular learning is also integrated in the foundational as well as core courses that is mandatory.
Practice of nursing is based upon application of basic concepts and principles derived from the physical, biological and behavioural sciences, medicine and nursing.
