The UG, PG and PhD students working on projects and research topics are provided access to the facilities of the Centers of Excellence. The utilization of the research resources is reflected in many outcomes such as high-quality publications, authored or edited books, intellectual property rights, collaborations, memoranda of understanding, national and international level seminars & conferences etc. The University gives strong emphasis on growth of research performance among the faculty and students. A well-defined policy for promotion of research and innovation at DITU is in place and is prominently displayed on the University’s website. Over the last five years, the University has progressively increased investment in research facilities, and research outcomes in terms of quality and quantity are continually monitored. We undertake various activities, such as organizing workshops, publishing a good amount of quality publications including books, book chapters, research publications, patents, and executing a significant number of collaborative activities, and inked memoranda of understanding with leading industrial and academic institutions, to strengthen research at DITU. We have graduated a significant number of PhDs, and currently have research scholars in 16 different programs pursuing doctoral research. The University provides stipends to meritorious PhD students through Teaching Assistantships. DITU has continuously been improving its research profile on Web of Science and SCOPUS including publications in reputed journals of IEEE, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, etc. These publications have generated a significantly large number of citations on the Web of Science and sustain an average growth of 650+ citations per year. Due to our strategic pivoting, faculty empowerment, and resource upgrades, the trend continues to amplify each year. Institute faculty have received research grants from the various funding agencies like UGC-DAE, SERB, UCOST, DST, DRDO, and some reputed industries. DITU incentivizes multidisciplinary, mission oriented, ethical research as a regular activity. DITU believes in empowering a strong faculty-student collaboration so that the future research workforce is nurtured to serve the nation. Faculty members are encouraged and adequately supported to interact with external peers and present research on national/international platforms. An indigenous data-management system, Academic Excellence Information System (AEIS) has been developed at DITU, which provides an anywhere-anytime, fully-transparent platform for documenting & verifying employee achievements, especially around research and creative engagements. In addition, the DITU website provides a wealth of information on its people, activities, and resources. Dr. Hemraj Saini is a Professor in the School of Computing and Dean Research & Consultancy at DIT University in Dehradun, India. Prior to this, he worked in academics, administration, and industry for over 24 years. His research interests include information security, cyber security, edge computing, and cloud computing. He has guided seven Ph.D. degrees to completion and is currently supervising six more at various universities in India. Dr. Saini is an active member of various professional technical and scientific associations such as IEEE, ACM, and IAENG. He provides his services in various capacities, including editor, member of editorial boards, member of different subject research committees, reviewer for international journals and conferences including Springer, Science Direct, IEEE, Wiley, IGI Global, Bentham Science, etc., and as a resource person for various workshops and conferences. He has published over 160+ research papers in international and national journals and conferences of repute. Dr. Saini has also organized different versions of reputed conferences, including ICIIP and PDGC. Currently, he is the General Conference Chair for ISED-2023
