B.A. (Honours) in Economics is a 4-year program designed to deliver core economic theories and their practical relevance using real world data from International and National Institutions.
The program strengthens the quantitative and analytical skills of the students by exposing them to state-of-the-art statistical software like R-studio and Python. The students are individually cared for and supported by the Economics faculty, who have received their Ph.Ds. from the top institutions in India and abroad. They have teaching, research, and industry experience.
Following the National Education Policy of 2020, students enrolled for the B.A. (Honours) in Economics program have the flexibility to choose from different minors like Statistics and Computer Applications. Emphasis is laid on developing the student's analytical, writing, communication, and critical thinking skills so that they are ready for the job market right after graduation.

The Economics curriculum at DIT University offers students the opportunity to explore the core theories of economics along with economic data analysis. The program is designed to train students who aspire to pursue higher education in economics and public policy.
The curriculum also focuses on building the required skills for students looking to be employed in research, consultancy, and analytics - such as economic, business, market, and policy analysts. The program's interdisciplinary nature allows the students to choose various non-economics electives from allied departments of Statistics and Computer Science to add to their skill set. Emphasis is laid on developing the student's analytical, writing, communication, and critical thinking skills so that they are ready for the job right after graduation.
