Brief Profile
I, Vijay Singh Rana,(Asstt. Prof.) joined Faculty of Pharmacy, DIT, Dehradun as Senior lecturer on 20 jan 2007. Over here now, i become a teacher with the experiece of 16 years with a blend of 2 years Pharma marketing experience at the Faculty of Pharmacy, as an Asstt. professor-II . The stability with dedication has helped me in shaping of an academician or a "Teacher". Along with that i also earned the experiences with various other responsibilities rather it was as a member of board of sudies, Examination committee,, Discipline incharge, admission committee, sports committee, Chief wardenship, Flying squad committee, Committee for unfairmeans issues what else ... i didn't earn in my experiences.
I, passed B. Pharm. in the year 2000 from SBS (PG) Institute of biomedical Sciences, Dehradun, from C.C.S.University, Meerut, Uttarpradesh, M.Pharm. from KLE’s College of Pharmacy, Hubli Karnataka ( RGUHS, Bangalore) and Ph.D Pursuing from DIT University.
I also experienced in Pharma marketing for more than two years then after i got a chance to continue for higher study that was M.Pharm. in Pharmacognosy completed and immidiately joined as Lecturer, College of Pharmacy, Azamgarh,UP then GRD IMT dehradunand then FOP, DIT University.
I am a Life member of the IPA, Uttarakhand and first Joint secretary, IPA branch, Uttarakhand and Life memeber of APTI (Associassion of Pharmacy Teachers of India) as the first vice persident, APTI, Uttarakhand.
As a part of academics, research is became now a days first priority where i have got 11 research article published in national and international journals and also attended several National and International Scientific Conferences.
With background of education in Pharmacy, i participated in the different related fields of education and designed a course B. Pharm, M. Pharm course curriculum for DIT University.
Being one of the founder Faculty of Pharmacy, DIT, University Dehradun, UK. i have been a Visiting Expertise for chromatographic techniques at Rajiv Gandhi Ayurvedic medical college , Paprola, HP. invited by AYUSH and U.G. and P.G. Teacher, U.G. Dissertation Supervisor, P.G. Examiner for UG and P.G. Evaluation UKTU, Dehradun, and KU Bhimtaal , Nainital.
I am a regular( Mobile) Blood donor and actively involved in organizing blood donation camps; social awareness ‘Drive against Tobacco’ camps around the hill areas 10 villages with a poud banner of Faculty of Pharmacy DITU.
