Brief Profile

Shivankur Thapliyal completed his undergraduate studies at Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (a central university) in 2018 and earned his postgraduate degree from Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Engineering & Technology, Pauri Garhwal (an autonomous institute of the Government of Uttarakhand) in 2020. He is NET- and GATE-qualified. Currently, he is pursuing his doctoral research (Ph.D.) at Doon University (a state government university), Uttarakhand, India. His research interests include evolutionary computation, mathematical optimization, modeling and analysis of collective biological systems, and cognitive computation. He has published more than 10 SCI- and Scopus-indexed research papers with Springer and Elsevier, along with two conference papers under the Computer Society of India. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for Applied Soft Computing (Elsevier) and Scientific Reports (Springer Nature) journals, and he is a member of the Society of Artificial Intelligence, Operations Research, and Scientific Computing under the International Association of Engineers (IAENG). His teaching philosophy integrates fundamental concepts with practical skills, fostering collaboration, problem-solving, and ethical responsibility through hands-on learning and industry relevance. He strives to inspire curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for lifelong learning in computer science.
