Dr. Kumar did B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and M Tech in Heat Power Engineering from Nagpur University, Nagpur Maharashtra. He earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Uttarakhand in Heat & Mass Transfer He is the recipient of the MHRD fellowship during the Ph. D. and DAAD fellowship in Indo-German Project-based Personal Exchange Programme. He became Professor of Heat Transfer in 2012. He has published 43 research papers indexed in web of science and 35 research papers in national/ international conferences. He has supervised 5 doctoral thesis and 27 Master dissertations. He is the reviewer of International journals of Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Springer, and SAGE publications.
