Dr. Jyotsna Dogra
  • Brief Profile

    Dr. Jyotsna Dogra is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing in the Department of Computer Science. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati for two years from December 2020-2022. She received her PhD in biomedical image analysis from Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) Wakhnaghat in 2020, and her M.Tech in Electronics and Communication from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) Noida in 2013.

    Jyotsna’s research interest focuses on the image analysis of MRI biomedical brain images, to improve the assessment, quantification, and diagnosis of tumors in the current clinical practice. Her work so far has spanned the areas of image segmentation, feature extraction, statistical analysis, and machine-learning techniques applied to magnetic-resonance (MR) imaging datasets. She has published her research work in leading journals and international conferences.

    She provided a teaching assistantship at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. She has a research experience at the Research and Development Department of IIT Guwahati. Before her Ph.D. she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication at TRAMIET, Himachal Pradesh.
