Dr. Chetan Ram Solanki is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy SoPPHI, DIT University. His academic journey is a testament to his exceptional qualifications and dedication to pharmaceutical research and education.
Dr. Solanki earned his place in the pharmaceutical academic realm through his outstanding achievements. He successfully passed the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) and the NIPER-JEE in 2017, paving the way for his illustrious career. He pursued his M.S. (Pharm.) at the esteemed National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hajipur. His commitment to academic excellence continued as he once again qualified for the NIPER-JEE Ph.D. entrance exam in 2019, leading to the completion of his Ph.D. from the prestigious National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) in Guwahati (Institute of National Importance).
Dr. Solanki's dedication to research and his expertise in the field have not gone unnoticed. He received the Best Publications Award in the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) category at NIPER-Guwahati for the academic year 2021-22. His research interests primarily focus on pharmacological interventions aimed at addressing oxidative stress, apoptosis, and inflammation. He explores the intricate molecular mechanisms involved in renal diseases, diabetic nephropathy, and reno-cardiovascular diseases. With a remarkable track record, Dr. Solanki has authored more than 12 publications in prestigious international journals. Dr. Solanki has supervised more than two M. Pharm. Scholars.
In addition to his research, Dr. Solanki is highly proficient in laboratory animal handling, including dosing (oral and intraperitoneal) and blood collection through retro-orbital puncture. He has also worked extensively on surgically induced murine models of renal fibrosis (unilateral ureteral obstruction) and cardiac hypertrophy (transverse aortic construction). His expertise extends to knowledge of chemical-induced animal models, such as Streptozotocin-induced diabetic nephropathy, CCL4-induced liver fibrosis, isoproterenol-induced cardiac hypertrophy, and doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity.
