  Dr. Chetan Kumar joined the Department of School of Pharmaceutical & Populations Health Informatics as an Assistant Professor in July 2023. Dr. Chetan received his M. Pharm. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Kumaun University Nainital, Uttarakhand, in 2013, and his PhD in Chemical sciences from the CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu, in 2023. He began working as a research fellow at CSIR-IIIM Jammu in 2014, and in 2019 he was awarded CSIR-Direct SRF fellowship for 3 years. Dr. Chetan has more than 10 years of research experience and has published in reputable journals more than 15 research articles, three book chapters, and one review article. He continues his work in the area of natural product chemistry (Extraction, isolation, characterization etc.) as well as structural modification of bioactive natural products for the enhancing the biological activity for drug discovery.
