Biswadip Bandyopadhyay joined the School of Computing as an Assistant Professor in January 2025. He received his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Sikkim, and an M.Tech in Bioinformatics from MANIT Bhopal. His research interests focus on performance optimization of service and task caching/offloading in edge-cloud environments, leveraging various machine learning techniques, including evolutionary algorithms and quantum-inspired evolutionary algorithms. He has published paper in esteemed journals as Applied Soft Computing (Elsevier), IEEE transactions on Intelligent Vehicles, IEEE transactions on Network and Service Management. Additionally, his conference papers have been presented at notable events, including the 15th IEEE International Conference on Computing, Communication and Networking Technologies (ICCCNT) 2024, the 21st India Council International Conference (INDICON) 2024, among others. Before joining NIT Sikkim, Biswadip successfully cleared the UGC NET examination and gained industry experience as a front-end software developer at Tata Consultancy Services.
