Dr. Abhishek K. Bhardwaj joined the Department of Humanities and Liberal Arts (Psychology) in September 2024 as an Associate Professor. Before here, he worked at the University of Patanjali, Haridwar from 2017-2023 as Assistant Professor and from 2023-2024 as Associate Professor.
Dr. Bhardwaj completed his Post graduation and PhD in Clinical Psychology. Being an avid researcher in the field of Yoga/CAM and mental health, he served as Scientist-C at ‘Patanjali Research Foundation’, Haridwar from 2010 to 2017. Five scholars have been completed their doctoral research with his guidance. At present he is supervising three scholars in the area of yoga and mental health. Apart from this, he is a member of editorial and review board in many national/ international journals.
He is the author of the well appreciated book ‘Science Studies Pranayama’, ‘Yoga for Personality Development’, ‘Evidence Based Mind Body Practices’ and ‘Bhartiya Gyan Parampara’. He has developed and constructed the first ever scale for measuring ‘Psycho-Immunity’ which is a part of curriculum in many universities. He has published more than 80 research papers/ chapters/ evidence based articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals indexed in databases such as PubMed, Medline, Scopus etc.
