Environment Group

This group is involved in various projects and research related to Land, Air & Water (LAW). This group has achieved a significant mile stone in obtaining sponsored project fund from Department of Science and Technology, Science and Engineering Research Board as a part of joint research work initiatives between Department of Civil Engineering, DIT University and Centre for Oceans, Rivers, Atmosphere and Land Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

Transportation Engineering Group

Member: Dr. Subhojit Roy

This group specializes and is involved in works related to planning and policy-address of non-motorized and sustainable transport infrastructure in urban and rural areas, economic evaluation of transport-infrastructure projects and different transport services, road safety issues related to pedestrian-vehicle interaction, road-users' preference studies involving RP and SP datasets, etc. This group focuses on delivering outputs based on economic feasibility, social acceptability, and environmental sustainability.

Structural Engineering Group

Members: Dr. B. K. Singh, Mr. Rohit Maheshwari, Dr. Solanki Pal & Mr. Monendra Pratap

This group is involved in research and consultancy related to Industry specific needs and solving design problems corresponding to Bridges, Dams and Multi Storey buildings. This group also performs various consultancy assignments related to material testing for different industries.

GIS and Geoscience

Members: Ms. Dipika Keshri

This group is highly focused on remote sensing and GIS-related geological mapping, advanced surveying, land use land cover mapping, Landslide monitoring, Landslide hazard zonation mapping, groundwater modeling, and mapping. Also used her knowledge in the field of disaster management.

Water Resource Engineering

Member: Dr. Himanshu Pratap Singh

This group is involved in research and consultancy related to various fluid properties, flow characteristics, surface, and subsurface hydrological modelling.

Geotechnical Engineering Group

Members: Dr. Rana Acharyya

This group is engaged in research and consultancy associated with soil testing, foundation and retaining wall design, and slope stability analysis. Moreover, this group focuses on soil exploration, and ground improvement methods require in projects.
