Laboratories

There are three Laboratories well equipped with the necessary instruments/ equipment/ infrastructure to perform experiments in Analytical, Inorganic, Organic and Engineering Chemistry.

Analytical Chemistry Laboratory

The Analytical Chemistry Lab was established by the Department of Chemistry in 2022. This lab is well-equipped with a UV-Vis Spectrometer, a Fume Hood, a Rota evaporator, a Digital Spectrophotometer, a Drying Oven, Magnetic Stirrers, a Centrifugation machine, a Digital magnetic stirrer, a Lyophilizer, a Photo calorimeter, a Conductivity meter, a pH meter, a Digital Photo fluorimeter, a Digital potential The laboratory caters to the needs of students registered under any of the chemistry courses, viz., B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D.

Engineering Chemistry Laboratory

The Engineering Chemistry Laboratory has a contemporary setup with spacious practical training areas for all engineering students. These relate to the fields of Engineering Chemistry and Applied Engineering Chemistry, thereby covering the entire span of the syllabus. The study materials for all these experiments for the students are available in the department. The laboratory caters to the undergraduate students registered in any of the chemistry courses

Center of Excellence-Land Air Water (LAW) Laboratory

Centre of excellence The LAW lab was established by the Department of Chemistry in collaboration with the Department of Civil Engineering. The primary goal of this centre is to provide state-of-the-art facilities to in-campus and outside users from various universities, academia, industries, and society. This COE is currently involved in cutting-edge chemistry and environmental science research (consultancy and research with the Uttarakhand Environment Protection & Pollution Control Board).
